@MrVaginaSaurus You said “he just HAD to adapt to society changes”. If he adapted, that means there was a change, therefore comes a new Kanye. So the argument of “Old Kanye VS new Kanye” is relevant. Plus, he didn’t HAVE to adapt to the change. He chose to, by pressure or to stay current, but it was a change he made with his own knowledge.
beautiful prose is not talking about celebrities and comparisons of personalities. it’s expression of oneself as a whole. Kanye as talented as he is, is not an exceptional poet. any poet you find on def poetry jams is not an exceptional poet. they have stage presence. which is a talent in its own but look up Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman, fuck even jack Kerouac.
Honestly, I think either Kanye’s mom’s death really affected him. Like bad. He’s not the same soulful person anymore. Or, there’s always the Illuminati rumor. Either way, their both logical ways about why Kanye’s been acting so different. *Kanye shrug* But, I think his music’ll always be great until he dies. College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808′s and Heartbreak, MBTDF, shit even WTT. Kanye’s the epitome of a consisent, successful American rapper. His work NEVER disappoints me.
@GozzyWozzy I get what you’re saying but I still don’t think those are comparable to his previous works… it definitely isn’t on the same level as Bittersweet…. he’s significantly different from when he started… that comes with time and success. I just don’t think he has changed for the better…. for me, he has become intangible…. in his beginning days he was relatable. I can’t relate to Chain Heavy at all and Gorgeous is better but he’s definitely different now.
Whether than spam this video with my links. I’m just looking and asking for people that got some extra time to review my one song on my page. I promise I put full effort into it. Youtube doesn’t offer much far as promotion so I’m asking for yall support. Thank you if you don’t think this is too much to ask 4. Send me a friend link and I’ll check out what you go. @MrVaginaSaurus that’s not true… he spoke the truth, and as long as he kept speaking the truth, he would have never become irrelevant. Nobody told it like it was like Kanye did.
He didn’t just adapt, he kinda let the fame get to him. His lyrical substance isn’t nearly what it used to be.
i love when a MC says his lyrics with out a beat. because honestly people pay to much attention to the beat now days. like dmx says on his def jam poetry, (FUCK A BEAT ACTUALLY LISTEN TO THE WORDS IN THE DAMN SONG) lyrics are how its suppose to be. love ya kanye keep it real.
Poetry from the Greek 'poiesis'/ποίησις is a making, forming, creating, or the art of poetry, or a poem) is a form of literary art in which language is used for its aesthetic and evocative qualities in addition to, or in lieu of, its apparent meaning. Poetry may be written independently, as discrete poems or, may occur in conjunction with other arts, as in poetic drama, hymns, lyrics, or prose poetry. It is published in dedicated magazines the longest established being Poetry and Oxford Poetry, individual collections and wider anthologies.
